I was introduced to photography in high school, and I loved it immediately. It's now been over 15 years since I took my first photography class. In high school I bought a used enlarger at a yard sale, along with other equipment, and constructed my own darkroom in the basement of my family home. I spent hours preparing photographs for classes, competitions, the school paper, yearbook, headshots for the drama department, any assignment I could find! I displayed work in art shows and was even fortunate enough to sell my work. After winning an art award, one piece was proudly displayed in the Maryland State House for one year.

Throughout college I continued building on my skills and practicing the art of photography. But the technical aspects have advanced and changed in the past several years. I have embraced the move into the digital era, and now all of my photography is done digitally.
